MOON ART | Eight Auspicious Symbols Mandala

The Eight Auspicious Symbols Mandala is a devotional piece painted with my menstrual blood, created as a living tribute to the core symbols of Tibetan Buddhism. Each of the eight emblems carries profound spiritual meaning and represents blessings that support liberation, wisdom and awakening.

• The Golden Fishes — Liberation and fearlessness
• The Vase — Prosperity, longevity, and spiritual abundance
• The Lotus — Purity and the blossoming of enlightenment
• The Conch Shell — The teachings that awaken beings from ignorance
• The Endless Knot — Interdependence and the unity of wisdom and compassion
• The Victory Banner — Triumph over the ego and the forces of ignorance
• The Dharma Wheel — The Buddha's teachings and the turning of the path

As I painted each symbol, I received initiations and insights one blessing at a time. This mandala is both a representation of sacred symbology and also a spiritual journey encoded in form.

These symbols are traditionally displayed in temples, homes, sacred sites, and spiritual offerings as reminders of refuge, harmony, virtue, and the path toward enlightenment. This artwork carries those same frequencies, inviting protection, clarity and awakened presence into any space where it lives.

ABOUT PERIOD ART
My initiation into womanhood unfolded during a profound ceremony in 2016 while I was bleeding. After a night of mystical visions—death and life woven together in a single breath—I received a realization that changed my entire relationship with menstruation:
I was meant to create with my blood.

Discarding it suddenly felt misaligned. Instead, I felt called to transform it into something sacred, intentional, and alive.

Before this awakening, I suffered from severe period cramps since menarche. But once I began painting with my blood, layer after layer, month after month, healing began.

Emotional residue stored in my nervous system slowly released. The internalized rejection I once carried about my womanhood began to dissolve into reverence.
Through years of conscious feminine work, self-love, meditation, spiritual practice, and embodied healing, one truth remains:

Creating art with my menstrual blood has been the most transformative initiation into womanhood I have ever received.

My mission now is to share this remembrance with others—to awaken the recognition of the womb’s sacred power. My deepest longing is to live in a world where women and men honour the intrinsic beauty and mystery of the Wombman. Through my artwork, may you feel inspired to remember, inquire, or simply receive it as a magical manifestation of Life itself.
