You can use unwaxed dental floss, soft cotton string (like this), or any other safe, non-toxic material that allows you to gently pull the egg out once you’re done.

Stringing the egg gives you more control over the process and provides a safety net, making it easier to remove the egg when your session is over. If you have a drilled egg but prefer not to use the string, that’s okay, too! Many women enjoy the undrilled variety for its simplicity and the opportunity to truly let go of control.

Step 3: Oil the Egg

Once your Yoni Egg is prepared, the next step is to oil it. This ensures a smooth and comfortable insertion while also helping to create a sensual, loving experience. Use your favorite lubricant—coconut oil is a wonderful choice due to its natural, moisturizing properties—or any other natural oil you feel drawn to (our favourite).

Instead, stop, take a few deep breaths, and see if the egg naturally moves with your body’s energy. If necessary, you can use your finger to gently guide it in or even massage around the entrance to increase relaxation.

Remember that there’s no “right” way to do this, and it’s okay if you don’t feel much sensation in the beginning. For some, it may take several sessions before you feel the presence of the egg inside. Allow the process to unfold naturally.
